Studio Privacy & Refunds
ADA Dance Co is committed to protecting the privacy and personal information of their members, employees and customers. We value the trust of those we deal with and we recognize that maintaining the trust requires that we be transparent and accountable in how we treat the information you choose to share with us.
ADA Dance Co collects Personal Information for the following purposes;
- To manage and process payments related to the service being rendered
- To invoice clients’ accounts as appropriate
- To maintain student records and communicate information to clients
- To be able to reach parents/guardians in the event of an emergency with their dancer
- Students’ names, photographs and video may be used for our newsletters, lobby displays, recital shows/displays, website ada-dance.com, community television, local newspapers and for studio related activities/events and advertising
- During the dance school year, students may be involved in a variety of dance school activities and events. There are situations where personal information may be provided to those who assist with studio activities such as: Dancewear and Costumes, fundraising committee, photography, Recital, and various dance competitions.
Those we collect personal information from should expect that it will be carefully protected.
WEBSITE AND ELECTRONIC COMMERCE
ADA Dance Co uses password protocols and encryption software to protect personal and other information when a product or service is requested and/or paid for online.
PRIVACY PRACTICES
ADA Dance Co only collects Personal Information that you submit voluntarily and it is kept in confidence. ADA Dance Co staff are authorized to access personal information based only on their need to deal with the information for the reason(s) for which it was obtained. Safeguards are in place to ensure that the information is not disclosed or shared more than is necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was gathered. ADA Dance Co also takes measures to ensure the integrity of this information is maintained and to prevent its being lost or destroyed.

REFUND POLICY
Those dancers who withdraw prior to commencement of classes are entitled to a full refund, less the non-refundable registration fee.
Those wishing to withdraw once classes have commenced must pay for the month in which they enrolled. Parents must notify the office in writing regarding withdrawal BEFORE the 1st if the month. If payments have been processed there will be no refund given for that month.
Recital costume deposits will not be refunded nor transferable after September 30th.
There will be no reimbursement for classes not taken. There will be no refunds for missed classes.
All competition fees which include costume deposits and competition fees are non-refundable or transferrable. These fees will be listed in the handbook and referred as “fees”. Also referred to in the competitive contract under “Tuition/Fees.”
*Note: A fee of $35.00 will be charged on all cheque’s returned N.S.F to cover bank charges and administrative fees incurred by ADA Dance Co.
**Late fees will be charged 10% every month, once it has passed 10th of the month.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
- Students leaving money or valuables in the dressing room do so at their own risk. We suggest not bringing valuables to the studio, as we are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
- There is no smoking anywhere in the studio.
- There will be no food or drinks allowed in the dressing rooms or studios (water bottles only). No gum chewing or peanut products allowed in the studio.
- Students must show respect to teachers and peers at all times.
- Students must not vandalize dressing room areas or studios. Anyone caught will be responsible for the damage.
- Children who are not dancing may not be left unsupervised at the studio.
- Please do not double park in front of the studio.
- It will be director’s decision as to which students will participate in competition, exams, productions etc.
- All competitive dancers will have to purchase the ADA jacket.
